Weddings
Planning
a wedding is stressful enough and the last thing you should have to worry about is the music, whether it is instrumental acoustic guitar for the ceremony’s prelude, processional, and recessional music or a DJ to get everyone out on the dance floor during
the reception. Our goal is to help make your day as special, worry free and memorable as possible.
Dave has the professional DJ sound system to meet your needs and has overseen
numerous indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies and receptions.
Reception
/ DJ
We will have an initial meeting with you several weeks before your special day
to discuss everything from the order of events and lights to shine on the dance floor to the special songs. We understand
that choosing all of the special songs can be difficult,
especially when you have so many other decisions to make. To help get you started, we will give you lists of popular
songs often used for special dances. We will also ask you for some of your favorite songs that you would like to have
played sometime during the reception to give us an idea of what type of music you would like to hear. Keep in mind that
your guests will also request songs, so you should not expect to choose all of the songs that will be played.
A new idea that some brides and
grooms have created is to put a line on the wedding reply card asking guests what song would get them out on the dance floor,
since not all guests feel comfortable requesting songs during the reception. This idea requires a little more effort
from the bride and groom because you would have to give us the list of songs provided by your guests, so do not plan on doing
this unless you are willing (and have the time) to give us the list in advance.
Wedding Ceremony
Ceremony music
can be provided for indoor or outdoor weddings either with recorded music or with live music provided by The Dave Miller Band.
Dave can provide prelude, processional, and recessional music for your ceremony. If choosing live ceremony music,
advance notice of the specific songs to be played is required to allow adequate rehearsal time if necessary.
